Software included in this group includes X-Steel. SDS/2. Tekla Structures. StruCAD. DetailCAD. SteelCAD. ProSteel 3-D. All three-dimensional modeling programs export the DSTV format that can be easily imported into Voortman.
The best part is that many large fabricators have upgraded to a Voortman from a 3-torch. You will be amazed at the results!
Your detailer will then give you a DWG/PLT/PDF file which you will use to plot or print your drawings. He will also send you the NC1 files to be imported directly into your machine. Voortman's Voortman includes the DSTV import function.

The PCR42 robotic plasma cutter does beam coping and notches, holes, and weld preps. It also splits beams and scribes as well as marks on all four sides of H-beams channels angles, HSS, plates, and H-beams.
Multi-torch or triple torch CNC beam copier machines usually have three torches. Each torch is dedicated for a web or flange. The triple torch machine takes less time to position than the single torch machine. However, the single torch can make a lot more cuts due to the 5-axis movement and versatility of its cutting head. A majority of triple torch machines are 3-4 times more expensive than our single torch CNC beam-coping machine.

The Voortman can import DXF files and can use them to process 3-D shapes as long as the steel is detailed according to specific rules. Some of these rules might be different to the way you are detailing at the moment and might require some adjustment. This process is not nearly as seamless as the 3-D modeling software solutions above.

The operator has the ability to modify or override the input. It can also be saved as an additional program, if needed. DSTV exported drawings can also be used to pre-programme your machine. An operator can use the wireless remote control to operate, start, stop and manage the equipment. The wireless remote control allows the operator to easily view the equipment from any angle that is needed to verify and maintain accuracy. Operator marks the material, moves the material in the right position and clamps it hydraulically to ensure that the material is cut correctly. The laser operator aligns the laser to the mark, then begins the process. The torch lightens and pre-heats the material. The operator initiates and finishes the cutting process, as long as he maintains the correct torch height.
Voortman uses an extended torch nozzle to reach inside Flanges. These are available in a variety of sizes, depending on how thick the material is to be cut. The torch tips can also be gas-specific so please specify the type of gas you use: Acetylene or Natural Gas, MAPP or Propane, etc.
